''Spirits of the Air, Gremlins of the Clouds'' is a 1989 post-apocalyptic Australian film directed by Alex Proyas. It was his first feature. The film was shot on location near Broken Hill, New South Wales and at Supreme Studios Sydney.〔Peter Miller (Spirits' Composer/ Art Director) website: (Spirits page at Scribbletronics )〕 Influential Australian movie critic David Stratton praised the film as having a "special vision" with brilliant production design but said "the film frustrates because of its lethargy and stiltedness".〔David Stratton, ''The Avocado Plantation: Boom and Bust in the Australian Film Industry'', Pan MacMillan, 1990 p74〕 Stratton's opinion of the music score was that it was "uninspiring"〔Variety, August 1989〕 but Rolling Stone magazine called the soundtrack recording "an album of stunning instrumental beauty and exquisite soundscapes" and awarded it 4 stars.〔Australian Rolling Stone Issue 434, August 1989〕 In 1988 the film was nominated for two Australian Film Institute (AFI) Awards for Production Design (Sean Callinan and Peter Miller) and for Costume Design (Mathu Anderson and Angela Tonks).〔Australian Film Institute/Australian Academy Cinema Television Arts (Past Winners 1988 )〕 It won the Special Prize at the 1990 Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Yubari International Fantastic Adventure Film Festival '90 )〕 In 1989 the soundtrack CD was nominated for an Australian Recording Industry Award (ARIA). ==Cast== * Michael Lake as Felix Crabtree * Rhys Davis (Melissa Davis) as Betty Crabtree * Normal Boyd (The Norm) as Smith 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Spirits of the Air, Gremlins of the Clouds」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
